The consecration of All Saints' Church took place on June 25th 1872. The service was conducted by the Bishop of Rochester, Thomas Legh Claughton, because at that time the church was in the Diocese of Rochester (the Diocese of St Albans was not formed until 1877).
Therefore to celebrate our 150th Anniversary in 2022 we are holding a series of events which are highlighted below.

Virtual Balloon Race
A fundraising event to celebrate the 150th Anniversary of the consecration of the Church. The balloons will be released on Sunday 26th June at 12.00noon and then fly around the virtual island. Every hour each balloon randomly travels between 1km and 20km. At the end of the race on Sunday 3rd July at 12.00noon the owner of the balloon which has travelled the farthest will win a 1st place prize of a £50.00 amazon gift voucher. There is a 2nd place prize of a £20.00 amazon gift voucher and a 3rd place prize of a £10.00 amazon gift voucher. Winners will be notified and names put on our website.
Balloons cost £5.00 each, postal entries are free. Visit
